Actions:

• Releases wind and cold and induces sweat: used in the very early stages of wind-cold invasion.
• Invigorates the Yang Qi and disperses cold: For cold and fullness in the abdomen or nasal congestion from cold.
• Applied topically as poultice for abscesses and sores.

Contraindications:

• Do not use in cases of spontaneous sweating. Do not mix with honey when taken internally.

Dosage:

• 3-10g. Use the bulb with the roots.
