Actions:

  • Tonify the middle Jiao and Lung Qi
  • Tonify the Qi and nourish the Blood
  • Tonify the Qi and nourish the fluids
  1. Deficiency in the middle Jiaofatigue, lack appetite, chronic diarrhea, prolapse of organs; e.g. with Bai Zhu, Fu Ling, Gan Cao
  2. Lung Qi deficiencyshorten breath, chronic cough, lower voice; e.g. with Huang Qi, Wu Wei Zi
  3. Qi and Yin deficiencythirst and tiredness are due to after high feve, or thirsting disorder, or profuse sweating; e.g. with Dan Gui, Shu Di Huang, Mai Men Dong
  4. Qi and Blood deficiency cause insomnia, palpitation, forgetfulness; e.g. with Dan Gui, Shu Di Huang, Suan Zao Ren
  5. With releasing exterior herbs for exterior syndrome with Qi deficiency
