- Tonify and strengthen the Spleen and Stomach
- Tonify Lung Qi
- Strengthen the Kidney and astringent for discharge
- Nourish Yin
- Deficiency of Spleen and Stomach: poor appetite, dairrhea, spontaneous sweating; e.g. Shen Ling Bai Zhu San, with Dang Shen, Bai Zhu, Fu Ling
- Deficiency of Lung Qi: shorten breath, chronic cough or asthma, lower voice, spontaneous sweating; e.g. with Huang Qi, Ren Shen
- Deficiency of Kidney with abnormal discharge: frequent urination, spermatorrhar, profuse vaginal dischage; e.g. with Shan Zhu Yu, Wu Wei Zi, Tu Si Zi, Jin Ying Zi
- Deficiency of Yin: thirst, recently using diabetics; e.g. with Huang Qi, Tian Hua Fen
Dosage:
- 9-30g. In exceptional case-60-250g
