  • Resolves Shao Yang disorders and lowers fever: for alternating chills and fever, bitter taste in the mouth, flank pain, vomiting, irritability, and chest constriction.
  • Relieves liver qi constraint: for dizziness, vertigo, chest pain, menstrual disorders, and emotional instability. Also used to treat wood attacking earth symptoms.
  • Raises the yang qi in cases of middle jiao deficiency: for hemorrhoids, anal and uterine prolapse, and diarrhea.

Contraindications:

  • Contraindicated in cases of liver heat, cough from Yin Deficiency, and overdosage may cause nausea and vomiting.

Dosage:

  • 3-12g. Part used = root.
