Latin: Semen Praeparatum Sojae

 

Actions:

  • Dispels wind, cold, or heat: due to its mild nature, this herb can also be used for exterior disorders with an underlying yin deficiency.
  • Softens symptoms of irritability: for restlessness, irritability, chest constriction, and insomnia especially in the aftermath of a febrile condition.

Contraindications:

  • This herb inhibits lactation and should not be taken by nursing mothers.

Dosage:

  • 6-15g. Part used = seed prepared from fermentation.
