1.     Fever the without sweating, dizziness, and stifling sensation in the chest associated with summerheat; with Bian Dou, Hua Shi

2.     Clears Yin deficiency fire. For depleted Yin due to fever; with Di Gu Pi and Bai Wei

3.     Clears shaoyang disorder. For alternating chills and fever; e.g. malaria

4.     Cools the blood
