Common: Chinese Anemone Root or Pulsatilla

Latin: Radix Pulsatillae Chinensis

Actions:

  • Clears heat, removes toxins, and reduces inflammation: for dysentery from damp-heat in the stomach and intestines. Treats bacterial or amoebic dysentery, epistaxis and bleeding hemorrhoids. Also applied externally to treat trichomonas vaginitis.

Contraindications:

  • Do not use in cases of chronic diarrhea from spleen and stomach deficiency.

Dosage:

  • 6-15g. Part used = root.
