Actions:
- Removes heat and toxins, cools the blood, and benefits the throat: for fevers, epidemic disorders including influenza and meningitis, mumps, and swollen throat conditions. Also effective in treating acute parotitis, erysipelas, and damp-heat jaundice.

- Do not use in cases without fire toxins, or in patients with a weak constitution.

- 15-30g. Part used = root, the leaf is called Folium Daqingye (da qing ye).
