Yu Xing Cao

Actions:

• Eliminates heat and toxins: reduces lung abscess, infections, cough with thick yellowish-green sputum, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
• Detoxifies and expels pus: used both internally and topically for purulent sores.
• Drains dampness: for damp-heat in the large intestine, colitis, or urinary tract infection.

Contraindications:

• Do not use in cases of cold from deficiency, or for yin type furuncles.

Dosage:

• 15-60g. Do not cook for long periods of time. Part used = leaves and stems.
