English Translation: Star of the Southern Heavens
Common: Jack in the Pulpit Rhizome
Latin: Rhizoma Arisaematis

Actions:

  • Dry damp and transform phlegm
  • Expel wind-phlegm in channels and stop spasms
  • Reduce swelling and alleviate pain

1.     Stubborn phlegm cause cough, oppressive chest, greasy and thick tongue coating; e.g. Dao Tan Tang, with Zhi Ban Xia, Fu Ling

2.     Wind phlegm in channels: such as stroke or dizziness, facial paralysis, convulsion; e.g. Fang Feng, Zhi Ban Xia, Tian Ma

3.     External using for reduce swelling on the skin or deep tissue, and stop sore, such as carbuncle, ulcers.

Dosage:

  • 4.5-9g

Precaution: Women during pregnancy should be prohibited
