Properties: Bitter, Spicy, Warm
English Translation: Green Peel

Common: Immature Tangerine Peel

Latin: Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride

Actions:

  • Strongly regulate Liver Qi, and alleviate pain
  • Dissipate clumps and food stagnation

1.     Expel Qi stagnation in Liver channel: chest or flank pain, breast fibroid, or with cyclic pain, hernia; e.g. with Chai HuChuan Lian ZiXiang Fu

2.     Food Stagnation and phlegm stasis in middle Burner: Stomach pain, belching, poor appetite; e.g. with Shan ZhaMai YaShen QuLai Fu Zi

Dosage:

  • 3-9g
Precaution:
  • This herb has strongly spread Qi, so if patient with deficiency Qi should be prohibited
